Sarah is an adventurous world traveler, accomplished performer, and a bit of a nerd at times. Born and raised in Odenton Maryland, Sarah grew up surrounded by music which quickly became her passion in life. She got a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Tampa in 2020 and then worked for about a year at the Florida Repertory Theatre as a performer, stage manager, and camp counselor. She then embarked on a life changing adventure where she followed her desire for travel by performing on a Cruise Ship where she got to explore over 35 different countries. She especially loves spending time in Montenegro where she spent 3 months absorbing Balkan culture, food and beautiful scenery. Other than her passion for singing and travel, she loves cats, nerdy games and tv shows, recreational Cuban salsa dancing, and cooking.
Sarah is an accomplished singer who is not only proficient in classical and operatic styles, but also broadway belting and pop. She has had several years of training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Partnering dance and has obtained superior music reading skills through her many years of performing in dozens of choirs throughout her life. She can sing above an F6, perform in British and Southern American Accents, whistle, and do an impression of a GPS navigation system. Sarah has been given numerous honors such as being awarded the University of Tampa David Clark Isele Musical Theatre Award in 2020, Outstanding Musical Theater Student of the Year Award in 2019, was nominated for the Irene Ryan Scholarship at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, awarded second place in the Upper College Musical Theatre Division at the National Association of Teachers Singing at the Tampa Bay Chapter, won Best Leading Actress in a musical for her performance as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance at the University of Tampa Falk Awards 2019, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Nancy Awards for her role as Eileen Evergreen in Nice Work If You Can Get It at Carrollwood Theater. |
